I know it sounds stupid but try defragmenting your hard drive. It makes things lag less sometimes

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you. |

I just experienced the lag when I watch a HD video by using Media Player Classic. But, with Windows Media Player, it's lag no more, that's quite confusing for me.

QUOTE (Kári @ Jun 17 2008, 12:50 AM) install a recent version of ffdshow and Hali media splitter, then you are able to play x264 (in mkv) files in WMP and ffdshow allows you to chose external subs if the mkv dosen't contain any. I just reinstalled CCP. I assume they have the latest codecs. How do you configure ffdshow to show the subtitles? The subtitles are within the mkv but they only work if I open the mkv with MPC because Vobsub will run. I right clicked ffdshow at my taskbar when my WMP is playing the mkv but I can't find any option to display the subtitles.

Well, there's no more lag with WMP but soft subs can't be enabled on WMP despite it being selected at Haali already. Is there anyway to force Vobsub to work with WMP? Edit: Problem solved. The default settings of CCP did not enable Vobsub loading when I open WMP. Seems like I overlooked it the first time.
