 QUOTE South Park Studios has caught attention once more after they aired their latest episode, Episode 201. This is the 6th episode of the fourteenth season of South Park, and the 201st overall episode of the series. Originally, Mohammed, the Islam Prophet is part of the scene. However, producers decided to censor the prophet’s face as well as his name all throughout the episode. In Islam, their Prophet’s name is of high regard and depicting him in anyway is prohibited. Some viewers were disappointed about censoring it. Quoted from a comment in asouth park topic forum escapistmagazine.com, “censoring Muhammad for the sake of a satirical poke at the hypocrisy that is freedom of speech, Matt and Trey missed an enormous opportunity to make statement that would have had more meaning and impact on the world then anything that have ever done or will ever do”. He added also in his comment paraphrasing a statement ofthe episode’s preview “If you don’t show Muhammed, then south park will be gone forever”. A counter reaction to his comment was then given and it says “i believe you are expecting too much from them though. Seriously, they are not trying to be social commentators. They are just there to make light of serious issues. They don’t ever try to make a point, they try to be funny.” QUOTE WE APOLOGIZE THAT SOUTH PARK STUDIOS CANNOT STREAM EPISODE 201 AT THIS TIME. I'm a Muslim.
And I would love to watch the episode. Only a small minded person would actually take South Park seriously if they were to release the episode. The Muslim should sit down and watch the episode, and laugh at the arrogance of the South Park makers who actually are ill minded enough to use such a prophet in a cartoon. The Muslim should laugh at how they are so idiotic that they have nothing better to do than make fun of Muslims in one way or another. The South Park writers are cartoon comedy writers who get paid thousands. Yet they're so out of ideas that they have to bring Mohammed into it? Think about it. Imagine the pope watching a cartoon with Jesus in it talking rubbish (since it's in south park.). He would be offended, wouldn't he? Why should the South Park writers have to revert to using religious people as characters in their show? :| It just proves that they aren't doing their job properly. But I just want to make it clear that not all Muslims are radical. Tbh only a small population of Muslims are radical whom would rage at the South Park episode. The rest would do the right thing and 'lol' at the arrogance of the South Park writers. |

Meh, should of aired the original. Why not poke fun at something fake, not as if its gonna' do anything.
On a side note: Family Guy have Jesus in their episodes all the time, what's so bad about having Muhammed?

However in Islam it's forbidden to attempt to draw Mohammed, Jesus, Moses and all of the other prophets. The reason on why the prophet Mohammed (pbuh) forbid that pictures of him and the other prophets were to be drawn was because of he did not want the Muslims of the future to worship these pictures or statues of prophets. Meaning that these statues were to be worshipped, when in Islam we can worship nobody but God. An example of this (sorry if any Bhuddists are offended?) is Siddarth Gauthama Buddha/Krishna. Siddarth never told anybody to build a statue of himself, but after his death, Bhuddists began making statues of him and they kneel down to them etc. Now whether Bhuddists worship the statues or not beats me, but you can see in what sense Mohammed was coming from.
