Doesn't seem to work for me. I tried it with a TF2 video and a music video.
EDIT: Wait, no, made it work. It makes the snake out of the buffering sign so if you have a super awesomely fast connection that loads the video up in seconds you can't play. Well that explains a lot  A YouTube video is never buffering more than one second for me.It usually takes an instant to buffer and then it plays without lagging.(except for full screen 1080p HD videos,my video card can't handle anything beyond my screen resolution-1440x900) It's very rare for me that a video lags,just because it hasn't loaded,let along buffer for less than a second. You can also make it work by watching a video, pause it, and holding down left arrow.

But i didn't know you could hold down the left key. When i first heard of it i thought the only way was to click on the part of the video that hasn't loaded (like the not red part) but it doesn't work on all players. only the ones like the one you see in DeadlyCheese's picture. |

I found this out last week, I believe it only works with the new youtube control style videos.
So not the ones with the old display for the video controls. |
