Step by step guide:

1)Install DigitalZone Counter-Strike 1.6 release

2)Install DigitalZone Counter-Strike 1.6 update(s)

3)Put my nonsteam server list in:
example: C:\Games\Counterstrike\platform\config

4)Install Cheating-Death 4.33.1

After you have done this, run Cheating death and then run counterstrike 1.6.
Then you should be able to play cs 1.6 without any problems

Hey why do u need to install Cheating Death. Is it necessaryif I dont want to disable cheats? And after installation a listen server shortcut is created in the start menu. Can I configure the sever before starting by editing server.cfg or listenserver.cfg?
Also when i create a listen server my friends get this error when they try to join over the internet "LAN servers are restricted to local clients". Please help me out as I want to create a listen server so that me and and a few dudes can play over the internet.

I made this tutorial for people who want to play it, not for people who want to create a server.
Cheating death is not necessary if you want to make a server (but i strongly recommend it), the program is just used on most servers, so if you dont use it you'll be kicked.
